Wimbledon Quiz 2015

Wimbledon is just 4 days away and its quiz time on peRFect Tennis. This SW19 specific one has 20 questions to test your Wimbledon knowledge.

There are 17 questions on players (male & female – related to Wimbledon of course) and 3 on the Wimbledon tournament itself. Why 17 on players? Nope it's not because of Fed’s 17 Grand Slam titles but this being his 17th Wimbledon appearance!

Good luck, the answers will be out in a few days!

Fanatic Federer fan. Watch all his matches on TV if shown ( outside working hours ! ), and quite often drive down to Dubai from Muscat to watch him live. Apart from being an IT / Telecom sales professional, am a quiz-master, classic rock & blues fan, movie buff and a veteran tennis-ball cricketer. Love to research on Fed’s on-court & off-court doings – the Fedberg quiz an outcome of that.

Could not figure out those four. In addition, I may not have spelt some of those players’ names right.

      1. Just replaced them, decent effort Gang 🙂

Cliff Richard 😆 no doubt heard that Aorangi has been renamed to Yewtree Terrace this year.

  2. I got a few too..great questions overalll. Some of these answers are so embedded in my brain I remember exactly where I was when these happened.

  3. Federer Murray Nadal in the same half.

    Murray- Nadal Quarters
    Murray/ Nadal- Federer Semis
I saw Berdych looming around there somewhere as well.

Djokovic seems to have a clear path but there seem to be dangerous floaters. Wawrinka’s in his half as well from what I could make out.

  4. So Fed will potentially have to beat Murray or Nadal to get to the final, but not both.

And then potentially have to face Djokovik. Dang.
I don’t think Wawrinka is an easy option for djolovic in the semis by any means though. He pounded Fed in the first set last year and I think he was hurting after that from injury or schedule.

  5. Better late than never, but I got 14 – and that was because I just couldn’t *quite* remember the cow’s name!

  6. Thank you all for checking the quiz out. Some have got 14 out of 20 which is quite phenomenal. Gang, Ian & Alison as I can see. Awesome.

Would love to get some feedback from you guys. My email id is [email protected]

Thanks yet again and hope for 8 / 18

    1. I guess I have the advantage of going to Wimbledon since before Fed was even born, and watching it for a few years before that 🙂

  7. Thanks for the quiz Murli. I didn’t know the cow’s name either! Also the Williams question was clever. Very entertaining
