Roger Federer

The Ultimate Roger Federer GIF Collection

No serious posts or predictions for today but I thought I'd share with you guys what I think is the most complete Roger Federer GIF collection going.

I've been saving them for a while now when I see them and have amassed quite a collection that you can see below. It might take a while to load as there's quite a lot of them (78 to be precise) but it's a great compilation of shots, racquet smashes, footwork, the twins, Mirka, practice sessions and a whole lot more.

In terms of where they have come from well I've collected them from all over including forums, Twitter and Facebook but a big shout out has to go FedererBlog on Tumblr who has an awesome and frequently updated selection of images and GIF's. And thanks to everyone else who made them!

Anyway I hope you enjoy it πŸ™‚ They are in no set order, but I'd be interested to know which ones are your favourites so let me know in the comments below!

Ultimate Federer Gif Collection

Oh and although this one isn't a Federer one it cracks me up, couldn't happen to a nicer guy really πŸ˜€ guess this is what happens when you face VerdasGOAT on blue clay.

Nadal misses a sitter overhead

P.S. If you have any Federer GIFs please send me a link or email them to me – [email protected] and I will include them here.

P.P.S Thanks for Fedfan who sent me even more GIFs to add to the collection πŸ™‚ if anyone out there has more, don't be shy, send them over!

Huge fan of Roger Federer. I watch all his matches from Grand Slam level right down to ATP 250. When I'm not watching or writing about tennis I play regularly myself and have a keen interest in tactics, equipment and technicalties of the sport.

      1. I ve been there in 2009, such a huge stadium…
As a Brazilian I shouldn’t admit but Messi is the best!
        HALA, HALA ROGER!!!!

    1. Hala Madrid! πŸ˜€

I hope they win again. All of a sudden, we’re in Perfect Football LOL

back to the topic. I really like that 2nd GIF. No one can imitate that forehand and that ridiculous dropshot of Roger against Murray (5th GIF) was my favorite play of that tournament. Poetry in motion.

      1. I see there are some Real Madrid fans here. Of course, this means war! I’m a Barca fan. Messi! πŸ™‚

      2. I’m more of a Real Madrid guy than Barca but that’s only because I’ve been to the BernabΓ©u!

@Ferdie yeah that Wimbledon forehand is just an epic shot. Great camera angle.

      3. I like Ronaldo, I just like Messi way better. Messi is well………..Messi! πŸ™‚

      4. Two can play that game..Ronaldo is well…Ronaldo.. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ .. Anyway we both are great Roger fans..So I guess we can forgive each other for showing loyalty to different people in football..

      5. jonathan ,I am from India and the only tournament I have been to is the Chennai Open..Really hope Roger plays there one day..But there is not much chance of that , is there ? πŸ™ πŸ™ Anyway you have been to Wimby and other tournaments..How much do the tickets cost there ? I remember hearing Alan Wilkins tell many times that the cost of tickets for the Wimbledon final are astronomical..

      6. Messi is the God who Ronaldo worships, who Ronaldo wants to be πŸ™‚ Ronaldo is great, no doubt, but Messi is something. He is divine!

Don’t go by goals. Well, Messi is beating Ronaldo there too. Four Player of the year awards. But, look at the skills. The things Messi can do…wow!

      7. Sid,I dont follow Ronaldo because of his goals..I have loved him since like 2006 when he was in united..when he was right winger and not a striker..And yeah I believe Ronaldo is worth more to a team than messi..Lets see Messi go to some other club and succeed like ronaldo has..

      8. I’m with Ajay I reckon Ronaldo is better than Messi.

It’s a tough call because Messi is unreal for Barca but it’d be interesting to see how he’d perform in another side, see if he can cut it in the Premiership.

@Ajay well if you want centre court tickets they are about Β£80 for a day pass I think. But you can only get them up until the Quarter finals.

The semi finals and final are pre sold and mostly debenture tickets so will be crazy expensive.

      9. Ajay, that’s a lame argument, “Lets see Messi go to some other club and succeed like ronaldo has..”. It’s like saying that Federer won most of his slams in a weaker era. Let’s see how he would do before and after his time. You can’t be subjective. Messi has already achieved a lot more than Ronaldo has. I still really like Ronaldo. Messi is what Ronaldo wants to be like when he grows up πŸ™‚

      10. You dont understand what I am trying to say Sid..I am not asking Messi to move to another club..All I am saying is the entire Barcelona team is made to facilitate Messi’s game..But Ronaldo had to adapt..Real did not adapt to Ronaldo ..It was Ronaldo who adapted..I am pretty sure Ronaldo is worth more to Real than Messi is to Barca..I mean Real are almost completely dependent on Ronaldo..I play a lot of football and I agree as far as pure talent with the ball goes ,I think Messi is better than Ronaldo..But Ronaldo more than makes up for that because he is probably the best header in the world ,the guy with the strongest weaker foot ,the guy who can take the best free kicks and clearly in one on one situations the Boss..Almost like the Usain Bolt of football..

      11. Alright Ajay, I’ll concede that Ronaldo may mean more to Madrid. At least you agree that when it comes to skills, Messi is way, way better!

I happened to check some recent stats in the league, and found that not only has Messi scored more goals than Ronaldo, he also has a much better goals scored to shots taken ratio. Talk about world class finishing!

Barca have pretty much won the league and if the don’t mess up like they did against Chelsea last year, they should go past Bayern.

  1. Great collection! Thanks for sharing them with us! My favourite is the 2011 Roland Garros SF finger wag- I just loved it. Definitely one of my favourite Federer matches!!

  2. I really love the Madrid finger wag..Almost telling everyone that we may be in Nadal’s homeland ,but he is still the boss..

  3. And that Another Sick Backhand …OMG it is just sooooooo sick…And don’t we all love it when Nadal makes a fool of himself..

  4. RG ’11 finger wag is one of my very favorite Fed moments, so I’m fond of that one. Many good ones, though; thanks for posting & thanks to everyone who made them!

    1. Hey,

Yeah such as epic match. He played unreal in that one.

And good point on thanking everyone who made them, I forgot that, just added a thank you into the post πŸ™‚

  5. Superb! Simply Superb post! πŸ™‚ I love all of them. So, here’s a list of my top 50 favorites from that list….just kidding!

Why you had to put that Nadal overhead miss, and spoil the sanctity of this post, I will never understand 😐

    1. Take it easy Sid..Nadal making a fool of himself is always a joy to the eye..But I agree with you..Maybe Jonathan should have left out that GIF here..And instead made another compilation dedicated just to Nadal’ mistakes.. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

      1. Yeah, sad there isn’t any more blue clay.

This little piggy, didn’t like blue clay, and decided to stay away. The other little piggy followed suit. And they all oinked happily ever after πŸ™‚

      2. Sid, you crack me up !!! Well look at it this way, at that time the tennisworld got to separate the men and THE MAN from the innie minnie tiny little boys !!!

By the way, aren’t you proud of the Maestro? Going down history as the only GOAT winner on blue clay??? God, I miss him.

      3. Yup, blue Clay GOAT πŸ™‚ Even Nadal has been defeated on red clay. But Roger has never lost on blue clay, ever!

Katyani, these riff raffs can only survive on slow modern surfaces. When their skills and footwork are tested, they start crying like a baby without a pacifier in their mouth.

  6. Awesome collection Jonathan!
2011 finger wagging just brings a smile to my face! πŸ™‚ Also the ‘bullet forehand’.
And all the ‘backhand porn’ in those GIFs is breathtakingly beautiful! Sigh….can’t wait to see him back on court. Its been too long already!

    1. For some reason, I thought you had named the Wimbly forehand ‘bullet forehand’. Nonetheless, that’s the one I was referring to!

    2. So much backhand porn, so wrong on so many levels. I had to make sure there’s nobody around before watching it and I enjoyed it! πŸ™‚

  7. I enjoyed the whole compilation but my favorite was the typical dad dance. I loved how his eyes lit up and he had a big smile on his face πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Angie!

Yeah ultimate dorkerer in the SA tour. I saw some more gifs of the tour around the time but forgot to save them and I can’t find them any more!

  8. Great collection man! The ones I actually like a lot are the ones him messing about during the South American tour (the towel covering the camera, peekaboo, etc)! As much as I love seeing his game face and the way he just gets down to business and do what he does so perfectly, I always enjoyed the lighter side of our champ Fed as well!!

On a side note… did you know he’s committed himself for the Swiss Indoors Basel this year? Sorry, I’m not trying to take over what you do best, just an FYI! =P

    1. Yeah the most beautiful thing about Federer is that he is so humane and he always seems to enjoy the game ..Not like Nadal for whom every match seems to be a question of life and death..You never see him enjoy anything..

      1. The man is a Conquistador. You should read about it. These men are slaves to their obsession and will stop at nothing to achieve their goals, even if it means employing unethical or illegal means. To them, everything truly is a matter of life and death.

    2. Cheers YC.

I did know about Basel, inevitable I guess although I wasn’t sure what would happen but looks like it’s sorted. He know thinks he may play Basel and skip Paris I hear. I prefer Basel so no problem with that for me.

      1. Yeah I was expecting him to skip Paris-Bercy now since playing Basel- Paris-London 3 weeks straight would be rather taxing on the body.

I’ve always found it rather silly of the ATP to not put a week’s break between Paris-Bercy and the World Tour Finals…

      2. Don’t you think he should try to play Bercy ,Jonathan..I mean it is a decently fast indoor event..Perfect for Roger…I really wish he can somehow play all the three Indoor events..He would be a clear favorite in all the three events if he was fit..

  9. Ah!! didn’t know that murray said that at 2008 uso!! he’s gained some points with me thanks to that πŸ™‚

    1. I’d heard it before but not sure if he did actually say that, impossible to lip read. Cool if he did though. Although I get the feeling Muggay and Fed don’t like each other a whole lot.

      1. I saw that match live on TV and the audio was able to catch part of the exchange they had at the net at the end and it did sounded like Murray said what he allegedly said, so on that note, kudos to Murray (who I don’t really like to be frank) for being a good sport.

      2. In all the noise, I could pick up “…great year…” and “…no matter what happened…”. A little later John McEnroe elaborated what Murray said, “Don’t believe for a second you haven’t had a great year”.

Murray and Roger may not have liked each other but that changed after Wimbledon 2012. After his speech, Murray walked straight to Roger and hugged him. Also, remember the Del Potro hug after their Silver medal match? That’s true respect, not the false respect someone like Nadal has.

      3. When you say nadal you mean for example when feds was crying at aussie open 2009 and he comes and hugs him with his hands full of silverware and a huge smile on his face?

      4. No, Simon, not that incident. That time, Nadal hadn’t really turned into the a****** he has become now. That may have been a genuine moment. It’s after 2010 that Nadal’s arrogance got the better of him and he started making backhanded comments about Roger.

Did you watch Nadal’s post match interview after his 2012 Indian Wells loss to Roger?

      5. Simon, and to your point, if your opponent cries, I doubt there is anyone who wouldn’t step up and console that person, whether it’s genuine, or made up. Unless of course you’re a Lendl, Connors, Berdych, or Ilie Nastase πŸ™‚

It’s what happens between those few and far moments, on or outside of the court, that should be accounted for.

      6. Nadal told that the conditions were too windy during the match agianst Rog in IW last year and thats why he couldnt beat him !!That is most stupidest thing I have ever heard..Windy conditions clearly favors Nadal with his huge topspin game..And clearly Federer would prefer indoor conditions without any wind..Its just bullshit listening to Nada’sl interviews after he loses..Like at last year Wimby ,I really couldnt see a hint of injury during the match..I saw the entire match and really , Rosol played like a guy possessed..I almost felt that even if Roger was there in Rafa’s place he would lose..But Nadal just made it look like he lost because he was injured..I remember in the IW match ,when Roger had a match point he even went to take a toilet break!!That is just so Nadal..Desparate to win in any way possible and when he loses he comfortably puts all the blame on his knees (and in thiis case the wind )..I really hate Nadal from the bottom of my heart .. ;(

      7. Jonathan, that’s correct. The relationship between Roger and Nadal is that of two guys sitting across a poker table, having funny, polite, small talk, and meanwhile, trying to deceive each other in a hand. Gotta love reality TV πŸ™‚

      8. Hi Ajay, about your comment, I have watched the Wimby match Rafa/Rosol a couple of times (love to watch especially THAT match over and over again) and I have to agree with you on one thing. The way Rosol played, seriously not even Roger (or Andy or Novak) would have won.
I believe the three of them would make it into a 5 setter, but the fifth set, seriously, the way Rosol played, like he was possessed by the Tennisgod himself, really that fifth set, neither Roger nor Andy nor Novak would have won that fifth set. No way. Really no way.

      9. I doubt Federer would be hugely troubled by Rosol’s game Katyani. It is all about the style of play. The fact Rosol zoned in and played stupidly agressive is the best way to beat Nadal. That’s not always the best way to beat Roger.

  10. Great collection! Loved it. Thanks for sharing and yes, thanks to everyone who made them. It’s so nice to go through them, just like seeing slow-mo videos every now and then… I love that too.

Think my fav for now, are the tweener gifs, but that might change again tomorrow πŸ˜‰

  11. I love the ones taken from South America..Just shows what a great person Roger is..That is why I have always seen Roger as an example to others ,as a role model ,rather than just a Tennis superstar..Long Live King Roger.. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  12. I see that you have added the GIFs I sent you (from a different Email ID than the one I use here). Pretty cool! πŸ˜€
Great to see so many (over 100, is it?) Fed-tastic GIFs together!
I may have a couple more, will check and send you if you want. πŸ™‚

      1. Sent 10 more! 4-5 are from the SA tour I think. He really had a lot of fun there! πŸ˜€

  13. My favourite is (of course, what else) his amazing “No, guys, I can’t dance, I really can’t dance, but I don’t care, I will show you all that I have some steps that were popular in the 50ties till 70ties, I know I’m making a fool out of myself, but just let me” !!!

Roger just showed during his SA-Tour that you just have to be yourself and people will like and LOVE that too.
You don’t have to imitate other players to be popular. Yes, this is a wink at Novak, but to be honest, Novak is incredible at imitating. He is just too good at that.

  14. Seen the latest one from Dull? About not being favorite at monte carlo?…… Someone hit the guy… –‘

    1. Haha I hadn’t seen that, unreal comment to be honest. He’s 8 time defending champion. Yet not the favourite? Stuff like that isn’t humble it’s just outright stupid. Makes him look like a clown.

      1. Of course Nadal fans will point out how humble and down to earth this guys is. There is difference between being honest, and false modesty. What Nadal is saying border on being a bully. As someone said somewhere, Nadal is type of guy who will tell you what a great player you are, then take your racquet and beat you up with it πŸ™‚

      2. Sheesh! Corrections: “this guy is” and “border on being a bully”

    2. Oke, don’t write negative stuff to me or insult me or ban me from this site……
but I did read the whole article……….. and Rafa did not sound that bad.
After Simon’s comment I looked it up, ready to dislike Rafa once more, but to be honest he did not come across as beeing false modest. I know he will win it for 99%, but he is real. He cannot count on winning MC every time.
There will come a time when he loses there. So, no I am not on his side, am still not his fan, but lets be honest, sometimes he says something that we should not interpreted as false modesty. I mean, don’t we get mad when Roger’s comments are blown out of proportion or are misunderstood???

Katyani, still a Roger fan, not a Rafa fan

      1. Lol, relax Katyani, we’re not THAT mean πŸ˜‰ I read the whole article as well, ans I agree that he is going to lose someday, but I don’t think this is the year… He’s raped the first part of the clay court season (with one little bloop), and won IW, a hard court. MC is HIS tournament, he’s like 42-0 the past God knows how many years. So of course he is the favorite (in my opinion). It’s the same thing if Roger would have said he wasn’t favourite for wimbledon in 2005-2006-2007. should Rafa play even CLOSE to his A game, he’s got a ninth MC in his cabinet…

      2. Katyani, come on – he has won Monte Carlo 8 straight times. If he gets asked who is the favourite – he either needs to ignore the question completely, or admit he’s in with a great chance of making it 9.

To flat out play down his chances is just ludicrous.

      3. Simon, if I would have been banned from this site, I would do a “Nadal”:
when you think you got rid of me, I will be back, stronger, better, unbeatable and with good knees !!!

      4. Jonathan, be honest, you don’t like the answer he gave, but if he would have said that he was the favourite and was definitely going to win for the 9th time, you and all of us would have called him arrogant and other names.

      5. He doesn’t have to say something like, “Well, I’m the 9 time champion no? So for sure I can win this year too because I’m the greatest of the history on Clay.” No, he simply has to say something like, “Yes, I do play well on this surface, and it kind of suits my game. I feel I have a great chance of winning again this year but Djokovic is the No.1, Murray is coming back strong, so you never know…blah blah blah.”

You get it, right? πŸ™‚ He has a habit of downplaying his chances to take the pressure off him. It’s like he is fooling his own mind. Why does anyone believe anything he/they say, I just don’t understand.

      6. Katyani, Jonathan cannot be running a blog dedicated to Roger Federer, and ban Roger’s greatest fan now, can he? πŸ™‚

      7. Sid, no, Jonathan cannot do that and better not !!! I have no shame in doing a “Nadal” !!!

Ps: Sid, don’t take this the wrong way, but you really know how Rafa speaks and all (no, for sure). Are you a closet fan of Rafa? No, don’t hurt me…..

      8. [Are you a closet fan of Rafa?]

Hahaha! You’ve blown my cover. Yeah, I’m the mole on this blog πŸ™‚

It’s because I know quite a bit about Nadal that makes my dislike for him so credible.

I know even more about Roger. Not nearly as much as Jonathan though. If fan points were a yardstick, Jonathan would outscore me two to one πŸ™‚

      1. Jonathan, sorry, I don’t know how to make a link of something and sent it (am not so good with internet and stuff), but I will tell you what moment I am talking about.
Will find it and let you know.

  15. Hi Jonanathan and all…. I am about 10 years behind bcos iv been on holiday. But i will soon catch up lol. Again good post.

    1. Welcome back, Seraj! Ten years behind? While you were vacationing, Roger has won 17 slams, 21 Masters, 6 WTF’s, and held the No.1 ranking record for over 300 weeks. He even got married to Mirka and has twin daughters. You’ve missed a lot, man! πŸ™‚

      1. Thanks for your kind words both to Jonathan and Sid. Much appreciated!!!
For Sid, Yep well funny thanks for reminding me again whos GOAT!!!!! Lol
For Jonathan, Yes i spoke to Roger about his holiday plans and he decided to go on abroad at the same time as me!!!!!

      2. And back at no 2 as Murray has just been absolutely thumped by Stan in MC!!!! Yey! And Berdych ousted by the Fog!!! Loving it!!

      3. I don’t like Fognini at all, but today, I like him!

And oh, by the way, where’s that troll by the name of “Batman” who was saying that Murray had a chance of winning this tournament?

    2. Get to anywhere nice?

You haven’t missed too much man, do you schedule your holidays alongside Roger’s breaks or just co-incidence? πŸ˜›

  16. Just read an article where Roger’s teammates “encourage” him to play Davis Cup. He doesn’t have to commit and I so hope he does not play DC. Especially since it is in September and that is close to US Open. Remember what happened last year?
I rather he gives it his all to win the US Open than play at DC and have a bad end of the year like last year. He already did so much for his country, he deserves to think about himself and about increasing the number of GS and about increasing his legacy. That is what will make his country proud, not the DC (which lets face it, is almost impossible to win with Chech, Spain and Serbia).
I feel so bad for him when his own teammates say such things about him.
Don’t they play for themselves too? It is not like they only play DC, they try to win tours and GS too, right?

    1. I’m divided about the davis cup: no way he should commit, but playing a couple here and there, especially to stay in world group, I think (as a swiss) he should. if he goes they are garanteed to win (in september, not the entire DC πŸ˜‰ )

And katyani, you said think about last year. True. Think about 2011 πŸ˜‰ Goes both ways. He’s still got a couple of weeks rest before shanghai and the rest of em. And the swiss are recieving, so they get to chose court, he could start training with real matches for indoor season. Had it been before USO, I would have agreed, but I do think he should play in sept.

      1. I tend to agree. One of my votes to be downgraded to a 500, but clearly too much money and self interest at stake. Very much a rich mans private club tournament. Wld love to see someone new win it. However, very much looks like Nadal may make it back to No 2 just in time for the French, given his current clay performance. Murray rubbish on clay but has fewer points to defend. Fed needs a strong Madrid and Rome most definitely!

  17. Ah well Susie, two more weeks to go. Hope he has more chance defending Madrid.
MC will go to Rafa (99% sure).

      1. Damn Rafa just won. Is he unbeatable or something??? Damn.
Congrats to Stan (for Andy-win) and Dimi (for such a close loss) !!!

      2. Right now I am not even so bothered about Rafa winning as I am with Djokovic ,because this guy claimed that he was badly injured..And now he is in the semis after playing two tough three setters..WTF..

      3. Nadal let him win the second set to be able to spend some more time on the courts, work on some strokes, and get a good work out at the same time. As simple as that πŸ™‚

      1. Sid…………….. I like Dimi too, you know. After Roger is retired in about 10 more years, we have Dimitrov to look forward too, Baby Fed.

    1. Unfortunately, his playing style is not suitable for modern tennis. Unless they speed up courts, he will not win a single slam. Again, it’s a variable. If the courts are made faster, all bets are off. In that case, Roger might pick up a few more πŸ™‚

    1. Chill man! Why so serious? πŸ™‚ We have a habit (especially me) of taking digs at others, but in good spirit. So, prepare for getting a hard time.

      1. I know Sid..But really whom do you guys think will be winning grand slams in 5 years ?? 31 year old Djokovic and Murray?Or a 32 year old Nadal..Maybe a 37 year old Rog..That would be cool.. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

      2. If those are my choices, I’ll go with a 37 year old Roger πŸ™‚

But look, Dimitrov may be looking like the real deal right now but in a few years, others will evolve. Look at Djokovic for example. One night, as legend has it, he yelled at himself, “I suck!” and went to bed. The next morning, he woke up with multiple slams, the No.1 ranking, and a 7-0 run against Nadal. Also, Nadal ain’t going anywhere. As long as he finds someone like Fuentes performing miracles on him, he will keep winning.

Dimitrov will fizz out in a year or two.

      3. You know Sid, don’t forget about the new guys like Raonic.
I think he will do great in the future, maybe even better than Delpo or Tomic.
But a 37 year or 43 year old Roger winning still everything is fine by me !!!
It is actually a must !!!

      4. I don’t think Dimitrov will fizzle out. He’s unproven as of yet but he looked pretty good against Nadal that’s for sure.

      5. Jonathan, I bet you $5 (USD) Dimitrov will never win a slam. And $1 that he will never win a Masters 1000. Dare to take the bet? πŸ™‚

P.S. All payments must be made promptly though PayPal.

  18. Five things:

    1. Today I read something very impressive (if you are a Rafa fan) and quite extremely scary (if you are not a Rafa fan). Did you know that since 2005 Rafa only lost 6 sets at MC??? I mean, is he that good on clay??

    2. Do you think Rafa can win MC, Barcelona, Madrid, Rome and RG? Has he ever done that?

    3. I did not watch the match against Dimitrov. But is it now safe to say that Rafa is not injured anymore?

    4. Does this mean that only two people in the whole world can stop him, meaning Novak and/or Roger?

    5. Roger has been practising on clay for 7 weeks now. He better come back as the human Superman, you know Rafa’s long lost clay twin brother.

    1. He’s that good on clay, especially monte carlo. That’s why he’s an idiot for saying he’s not the favorite…

Nadal could prob win all 5 of those tournaments, but he’ll have a “though” time in madrid, but MC is his, barcelona is his, Rome is probably his as well, and RG wellll… Do I need to comment at that? πŸ˜‰

Rafa hasn’t been injured since IW… Pulling out of miami was just a way to keep things “real”

Meaning the only person who can stop him is a 2011 novak, or a 2011 french open semi final Roger πŸ˜‰ and when I say Roger, I mean throughout the ENTIRE match, not just a set or two like he has the habit of doing…

there’s only that much practise can bring you… Didn’t he have the same training last year? Got him through madrid (barely) but he messed up at rome and RG… So I don’t know about Roger coming back and blasting everyone (including novak and rafa) off court… I hope so though!

BTW I just knew murray was gonna clown up on clay πŸ˜€ There are three players to watch on clay this season: Rog, Rafa, and Novak…

    2. 1. Yeah Monte Carlo is his stronghold. Rubbish tournament though. And yes obviously he’s that good on clay.

      2. I reckon Nadal can sweep the clay season.

      3. He’s back to his prime level. Probably never injured.

      4. On Clay? Probably only Djoker.

      5. Wait and see!

      1. Eliminate him, Jonathan, please, and delete the comment. There is no place here for abusive language.

  19. Anyone wants to know why this dork told that about Federer ?Because this guy has achieved nothing and probably never will even though all through his life he has worked his ass off..

    1. I Googled and figured out exactly what this low life posted. It’s a horribly vile comment and only reflects his upbring. I hope Jonathan eliminates him and that comment soon.

  20. Really sorry about that troll Piskumama ,Jonathan..He is sort of my enemy..Maybe he was sending me a veiled birthday message because yesterday was my birthday and he knows how much I love Federer..

    1. Haha no worries. I had no idea what it meant so took it at face value and approved it. Couldn’t find a translation online. Clearly a hater.

      And happy birthday!

    2. Hi Ajay, happy birthday.
Now even I am curious. Did he threaten Roger in his language or Hindi or something?

    3. Happy Birthday, Ajay! Sorry about that troll spoiling your day. So, I’m going to wish you a happy birthday by saying that Cristiano Ronaldo is a much better player than Lionel Messi. That makes you happy? πŸ™‚

      1. Thank you Sid…Anyway the actual day itself went very well. And now all you guys wishing me just makes it so much more memorable..Thank you all..

  21. And its Nadal vs Djokovic tomorrow..Am hoping joker can defeat Nadal ..this streak of Nadal’s really needs to end..

      1. I’m guessing four in a row for Nadal against Djokovic. The only way he can build up a streak is playing on clay and in many ways, he is actually plotting a 7-0 revenge. Djokovic’s 7-0 run came across all surfaces, though.

      2. So…. we have a 2 hour and 45 minute or 3 hour match to look forward to where all they do is rally 20-something shots and wait patiently for the other one to make a mistake????
        Yes, looking forward to that…….

Not a Novak fan, but I will watch the match and I will be rooting for Novak to win.
This Rafa-Clay-Twilight-Saga is getting boring and has to end somewhere and somehow (even Roger’s ended with stupid Berdych).

Three good things and one bad thing to look forward to:
Bad thing: Novak will have another 1000 title that Roger does not have and will get closer to winning all the 9 ATP 1000 tours.
        Good things:
        * It will finally get the schmuck smile off the great Uncle Toni Nadal’s face (which was already gone during the Rosol loss but was back since february with Rafa’s hundred winnings).
        * Just like they say some players are having Roger’s number, now I really am sure some players have Rafa’s number on clay too, like Dimitrov and Tsonga. Second set Tsonga was down 5-1 or 4-1 and brought it back to a tiebreak?? They are not there yet, but still. Really, believe it or not, even the mighty Rafa is getting older.
        * If Rafa loses tomorrow, I cannot wait to hear his and the great Uncle Toni’s excuses !!!

      3. Katyani, I must say, your comments are getting very interesting by the day. I like it!

Djokovic will lose tomorrow in straights. If that doesn’t happen, all of you are free to throw rotten tomatoes and eggs at me. Especially Ajay, who I’m sure was waiting for this opportunity πŸ™‚

I’m definitely not watching. I’ll be doing something better, playing Uncharted (the first one) on my PS3. You’ll have fun spending three hours watching two guys in their throes of ecstasy while I help Nathan Drake give bad guys a serious b*** kicking.

      4. You can never be too sure Sid..Especially if you look at the way Rafa played at MC last year ,I think his level is still not there this year..But not sure of Djokovic’s level either..So maybe the steak will end..

      5. Its so strange..Before 5 days all of us were saying that Djokovic is not playing this tournament..And now we are supporting him and want him to defeat Nadal…. Weird ..

      6. I think Djokovic has a chance to win here. I’m personally not bothered if he gets closer to winning another Masters title. It has been deserved as he’s played top tennis to do it. You can’t argue with his clutchness and tennis ability.

      7. Jonathan, don’t get me wrong. If Novak wins all the 9 titles first it will be deserved.
Like I said I am not his fan, but I am warming up to him, (not at Roger level, but bit by bit).

Still Jonathan, I would like Roger to be the one to get all the 9 titles first, because he would deserve it more.
If he cannot be the first to win them all, then rather Novak than Rafa or Andy.

      8. Thank you Sid, I try my best at commenting.

By the way, never say stuff like you can throw rotten tomatoes and eggs…….
you never know if that opportunity presents itself.
I like you, so I will not do what you ask when Novak would win, you can keep your shirt clean !!!

      9. What the heck! Someone just egged my front door and ran away and it’s not looking pretty. Whoever it was will pay for it . Anyways, I’m glad Djokovic won. He beat Nadal again on clay, at Monte Carlo!!??!?!

  22. You know Uncle Toni recently told that he doesnt think that Roger is there in his list of favorites for Roland Garros..He tinks the favorites are Nadal,,Djokovic,Murray,Del potro and Ferrer…What a di**head..

    1. Haha yeah I saw that. Typical Uncle Toni comment. I suppose though he’s right, I wouldn’t make Fed a favourite for it either based on form and past performances.

  23. Two so called injured players playing like………. two not so injured players.

Do you know that this is the 5th final Rafa is playing after beeing back??? Unbelievable.

But to be honest, Novak IS the only man who can beat Rafa now, not even Roger could have done it if he played MC.

But Roger will have his chance at RG, because we all know Roger and Rafa will be in the same draw.

      1. Are you kidding me, Ajay? I heard they are already selling advance tickets to the Djokovic-Nadal final at RG.

  24. Now that this final is over and Novak won with some amazing tennis……..
It is time to worry about……….how the hell will Roger beat Novak !!!

If you think what am I talking about look at these two things:
    * The first set, Novak’s last two shots which made it 3-30 to 3-40.
How can you defend those two last shots?
    * The second set, Rafa was up 6-5 and Novak got the break back 0-40 and then winning the game to 6-6.
HOW can you beat those four points?????
(I don’t know how to link stuff, maybe someone could or want to do that??)

Ps: this does mean that Novak’s injury at the DC was not all that.

    1. Tennis is about match ups Katyani.

Roger’s game matches up well with Djokovic’s so we don’t have to worry about him. All their matches are bound to be close because Djoker is in his prime and Fed isn’t but Roger is still capable of winning. He beat Novak in 2011 when he was in unbelievable form.

  25. I am so weird people, one moment I am saying Roger can beat Novak and the next moment I am saying how the hell will Roger beat Novak?
