Roger Federer’s Outfit for Wimbledon 2013

Hey guys, a bit late with this one compared to normal but here is Federer's outfit for Wimbledon 2013. After the poor offerings for the clay tournaments and the French Open Nike have reverted back to the trusted polo and I quite like this one.

Roger Federer's Wimbledon Outfit 2013
Roger Federer Wimbledon Outfit 2013

As you'd expect in order to conform to Wimbledon rules / etiquette it's an all white polo top with some orange detailing and Nike tick. I think Orange and white goes pretty well together with this although I'm not sure about the thing on the back of the collar, but not sure you will see it anyway so it's not too obtrusive.

The shoes are ok too, although not sure why they don't follow the same colour scheme as the polo & shorts with the orange, instead they are black and platinum. And also feature a green Nike logo which I suppose is meant to associate them with grass.

Perhaps the only thing I don't like is the jacket, Roger usually has a cool jacket or jumper for Wimbledon but this one just looks very run of the mill and I don't like how big the RF logo is on the sleeve. It's much better when the branding is subtle rather than in your face.

What do you guys think? Are you a fan of the outfit? Glad to see the polo back? Let me know.

Jonathan

Huge fan of Roger Federer - I'll pretty much try and watch all his matches from Grand Slam level right down to ATP 250. When I'm not watching or tweeting about tennis I play regularly myself and use this blog to share my thoughts on Fed and tennis in general.

    1. Good to see the polo return. Not entirely sure about the all-over-the-place colour scheme for the logo though. I think that RF right in the middle of the shirt is a tad too glaring. Like the Superman logo which makes it strangely appropriate I guess ๐Ÿ™‚

    2. Sorry, posts on polo’s etc. do not count. The are considered exho’s. Good luck next time ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. Wow – 2nd!!! Agree about the large RF logo on the jacket looks a bit naff – lets face it if you don’t know who RF is you must have been living on another planet – Nike really need to take a long hard look at what they have put him in this year

  2. The outfit’s good, but I don’t know about the orange logo on his shirt (+that little orange detail on the back of the collar). It doesn’t really match the Nike logo on his shorts and shoes. While obviously, all the colours don’t necessarily have to match exactly, that pattern feels a bit odd. But, nevertheless, if it helps him win his 8th Wimbledon title , it will easily become one of my favorites. ๐Ÿ™‚

    PS

Hope you had a great time in Germany last week ๐Ÿ˜‰
    ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. Yep… I like the orange and white.
For anyone for extra kudos…. The nike logo is a astrological symbol and the so called tick is actually the ring of Saturn. If you draw a imaginary circle of a planet wherethe points of top and end then you will be able to see it. This co- exist with goddess Nike. Therefore its a form of Saturn worship where the elite believe its power, victory etc etc etc.

  4. So glad to see the polo, but agree with you Jonathan that they should have followed through with subtle orange everywhere instead of a little orange here, a little green there. Also agree the jacket is a disappointment, just looks like your basic sweatshirt. And what’s with the ballcap? BALLCAP??? Are you SERIOUSLY telling me Roger is going to wear a ballcap? I fervently hope not. Are they trying to make him lose?

    1. Isn’t he wearing his headband???

By the way, did anyone see his practiseshirt? That is sooooooooooooo awesome !!!
It is the flag of Great Britain, but it is green instead of blue. It is really perfect.
The one who came up with that…… deserves a pay raise.

  5. Nice to see Federer wearing a polo again. But I’m not a fan of the “mesh panel” at the collar. 2009 and 2012 still tops my list.

Shoes are nice, looks neat and very fitting for this tournament. With all the vapor 9s they designed this is the best IMO. More than anything else, I hope he can get his 78th career title and 8th Wimbledon trophy ๐Ÿ˜€

  6. I really like that Fed is going to be in a buttoned polo again! Classy as always ๐Ÿ™‚ I see your point with the shoes but I really don’t care about the outfit, it’s the tournament result that counts! Did you see his hideous USO outfit yet?!

REally looking forward to your draw analysis on Friday ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Yeah, a lot of pictures are leaking before they get released. Based on the pictures that we get to see on google and facebook, his upcoming polo for the WTF 2013 is the best so far.

      1. Sid the polo should be the least of your worries when there are blue shorts, much like the one Murray wears. Even worse is there will be a similar outfit in New York.

Nike has done a shit job this year. Other than Indian Wells and WTF, this has been one of the worst kit years for Roger.

      2. Oh God! I didn’t notice those blue shorts. Truly the icing on the cake. Horrendous combination ๐Ÿ˜

        Maybe there’s a reason I haven’t bought a Fed polo in like…forever!

      1. From what I know the drawing thing happens at 7.30 GMT today, so in a few hours. Maybe I’m misinformed.

  7. Glad the polo came back!

I read somewhere that the colour of orange and nude pink would be the key of 2013 fashion last year so I think Nike knew of it way ahead of us. Then I agree with Jonathan, why not for other items, the shoes or hat etc.?

Personally I love a cardigan or a jumper for him. Remember 2008? That was so fedish!

      1. Haha! Maybe we can say Katyani has a Roger Fedish? ๐Ÿ™‚

Or, was that a bit too much? ๐Ÿ˜

  8. You know… I don’t understand why Nike doesn’t do more with his name and the slogan “Roger that”.
I mean, come on, it is perfect, he is one of the few players who can benefit with their first name.
Why don’t they do more of these shirts than the one with a big RF-logo (that is not even that pretty).
It is such a popular saying, everyone says it and it is also his first name…. don’t understand why they don’t market that more.

  9. Still don’t get why nike didn’t use Indian Wells shoes on this kit, would’ve been peRFect. Nike this year has been a riddle to say the least when it comes to Roger!

  10. Yeah, polo is nice except that orange…. THING… By the way, how durable are those zoom vapors? I need an ultra durable shoe cause I’m a toe dragger, and I go through shoes in two months… So i settle with the barricades (haters in 3, 2, 1….). I know they are murray’s shoes, but they lasted me like a year! they look ugly (like anything murray wears) but boy do they do their job!

and I’m tempted not watching toronto cincy and uso with those polos……

    WAKE UP NIKE!!

    1. Well I’ve only had them about 2 months so hard to say. I sometimes drag my foot on the backhand side but think I have gotten out of the habit so they are holding up well.

  11. Not bad, but not my favourite. Though if he ends up winning Wimbledon I won’t care one way or the other.

My favourite Wimbledon top was the 2006 one with the red lining.

  12. Hi guys, I just want to make a comment about Destiny. Yes, there I am again with the Destiny-thing, but I can’t help it, it is part of my religion.

Have you wondered up to now why Roger has not played Dimitrov yet?
I mean, even if they are in the same tour on the same draw or opposite, one or the other loses before they could meet.
Rafa played Dimi like two times, Andy also and Novak even three (or four?) times, but Roger never. Why?
In my opinion Destiny is keeping them apart before the big face off??
Remember Jonathan, when I wrote in the beginning of this year that I had a hunch that they would not meet this year until Wimby. I know the draw is not out yet, but I have a bad feeling about this or about the USO draw.
When Roger was 19 he was beeing compared to Pete. Dimi is known for beeing Baby Fed. Roger and Pete and Roger and Dimi are also ten years apart. Pete won Wimby 7 times before Roger defeated him…..
I don’t know bad signs. Of course Roger is not Pete, he WOULD beat (he has to beat) Dimi, but still….
Can’t help the feeling Destiny is up to something….

Oh by the way, I do think Dimitrov is serious about getting rid of the Fed tag. He does not remind me so much of Roger when he plays. Looks like he is finding his own identity or playing style?

    1. Your Dimi is going to remain baby Fed forever. He needs to buy a pacifier. Or maybe a pacifier for Shriekapova during matches? Yeah, that should do it ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. No Sid……. he is going to get there….
Oh…. maybe something is wrong with my ears, but I don’t mind Maria and Vika grunting that much. Think getting use to it. Maria still makes it nearly impossible, but…. it doesn’t bother me that much anymore. Weird.

  13. What up, peeps? Exams are over, and I am partially inebriated. But seriously. So happy the pressure is gone.

I don’t think much of this outfit. It’s adequate, and certainly better than the FO one, or almost any non-polo for that matter. However, at Wimbledon alone, I prefer every year’s back ’til 2006 to this one, especially the 2009.

I think Fed isn’t winning Wimbledon here. I’d be happy with a run to the semis, quarters would probably imply a loss to Nadal (never good to stomach) or one of the hard hitters who should be a class below Roger on his game. Good signs in Halle, including the fight he showed coming back in the final two rounds.

Katyani, I see what you mean, but I’m a cynic in any case, so I don’t believe in anything nowadays, let alone destiny. But I do feel for certain matches, there is a sense of “appropriateness”. As in, I felt it was right Roger won the Wimby final because he beat the world no.1 and by winning it would return to no.1 to break Sampras’s record. Or “appropriate” that Djokovic, who’s record was better than Roger’s over 2012, would win the final meeting of the year to take the WTFs. Or the 2009 FO, ’nuff said. And my gut feeling is telling me “appropriate” is not going to apply to Roger winning this year. And Dimitrov: well, let’s just say I don’t see him beating Fed at the moment.

  14. Olรก Jon!

I do not know about you guys, but I always dreamed about Roger wearing Lacoste!
    I’d die to see this!

Regarding this oufit, hmmm are you sure that shoes and jackets details are black and not dark blue?

    Tchau.

    1. Hey!

Hmm not really a fan of Lacoste.. Roddick used to wear that right? Hard to imagine Fed in anything but Nike.

I think they’re black detailing on the jacket and shoes. According to the catalogue.

      Jonathan

  15. I like the Polo look, but, just not this color and the mesh. This is not a pretty shade for Fed. He needs red orange instead of this yellow orange mess. I don’t like the mixture of colors. My favorite was the gold and white look. He looked classy. This orange looks like America’s SEC LSU color. I can say that because I live in a state near by and do not like the team. If he wins I will not remember the colors. I will watch for the aces and great plays. I will hope for different designers in the future.

  16. Today…… draw day.

Would it not be nice if Wimby was THE title that puts Roger ahead of that terrible Mac Enroe???

For me, if Roger can keep his QF streak alive, I am happy. Anything more is a bonus.

    1. So Roger has to go through, first Rafa, then Andy and then to finish with Novak??? Wow. Tough draw !!!

If Roger can pull this off, no debate about who is the Goat……. 1000 % ROGER = GOAT !!!

    1. omg, what a toughie. Djoker laughing all the way to the final! So tough for Roger, but i think Nadal cld be beaten early! Was looking for a Fed/Murray rematch but guess more likely to be Djoker/ Muzza! Tough ask for Roger re title and ranking defence! One match at a time!

  17. There we go folks, Wimby is finished in quarters…. I clearly don’t think Rog is playing at a high enough level to beat nadal… ๐Ÿ™

    1. I want to be optimistic, but I simply can’t. This draw would’ve been considered tough for a 2006-07 Roger. And this is 2013 we are talking about.

Having said that, Roger hasn’t played Nadal on grass in five years. Sure, the Doper will use the same patterns but Roger should have a slight edge on this surface, however slight it may be.

      1. [Rafa will also not win]

Really? Don’t underestimate the Audacity of Dope ๐Ÿ™‚

    2. I think it’s unlikely Dull wins Wimbledon but then again he is capable of doing so. Depends how the court plays so we shall see.

Thing is Fed tends to do poorly when a match up with Nadal looms large. Interested to see what he does here. Does he back himself on grass?

  18. That draw is utter rubbish. The organisers have a lot to answer for. They had option to shift Nadal to 4 if they felt the draw was unbalanced but chose not to. Now you have Fed/Nadal/Murray/Tsonga in same half!
What a task for a near 32 year old, to need to beat Nadal, then Murray, then a doesn’t know his luck, fit as a fiddle, probably no sets dropped Djokovic! Fed will need a red and blue cape to pull it off.
Any fool would tell you the big 4 need to be in the semis to set up the most fair final. This is the Millwall getting to the cup final draw again.

Since I have always had the habit of betting on outsiders to win (I bet on Curran to win in 85 and he very nearly pulled it off after dumping Edberg, McEnroe (defending champ world #1, then Conners all with ease) before dramatically underperforming in the Becker final – I think nerves got to him that day. But I also can also claim an Ivanisevic win in 2001! Did Fed in 2002 (massive fail), then joy in 2003! Anyways, my point – Del Potro could be the dark horse – since he has Ferrer which he is very capable of beating in his quarter and we already saw him beat Djok last year on Wimby grass to win Olympic bronze. Yes he is frustratingly inconsistant, but at his best is very dangerous and can beat anyone, has been there before to win a slam, so just might be worth an outside bet!…….

    1. Yeah, I don’t know about shifting the seedings around. It kinda is what it is. In an ideal world Dull would be 4 but as it happens he is 5.

I’m just looking forward to seeing what happens. Bound to be some surprises, there always is.

  19. Djokovic gets Ferrer in his half? And the other half contains Federer, Nadal and Murray, all possible contenders for the trophy? Seriously??? ๐Ÿ™

Would be great to see Federer and Nadal play on grass again though, only if Federer brings his A game.

  20. Tbh I’m just so pleased Fed’s reverted back to the classy polo – all those shirts he wore during the clay- court swing were not my cup of tea. Not too crazy about the orange colour scheme though!
Just had a look at the draw and I think it’s safe to say the Fed ain’t defending his title this time round – I want to be positive but I just can’t. Nadal in the quarters will literally be overcoming Mount Everest – a man he hasn’t beaten in a slam since 2007. And if by some miracle he gets through that match, then he faces Murray (my personal pick for the tournament) and Djokovic in succession! However, if the seedings do pan out and Fed does indeed defend his title, then it will probably be his greatest ever victory – and prove all his detractors and the likes of me wrong!

    1. Agree. There is no way he can come through three matches in a row with Nadal, Murray and Djokovic. Especially if they go 5 sets. And you know each one of them is going to fight it out with Fed until they drop dead. And Nadal will be waiting first in that queue, bouncing and ready go to. Here go any of my expectations for Wimbledon this year…up, up and away. I’m going to feel very zen about this tournament (*takes a deep breath in, while crossing her fingers). No expectations. Just enjoying Roger in each moment.

Man! But what a crap draw!

  21. What bulls##t draw!!! These hidden, closed draws are ridiculus. The shadows (Free masons) have clearly have there own agenda. Duke of Kent a 33 degree mason and patron of the LTA, have all colluded and agreed their potential winner. No transparacy at all with these people. They will also fix the betting odds, the trail of cover-up is a stench coming from top down.

    1. Jesus, man! What’s going on with you? Planets, Goddesses, now free Masons? Now, I’m some kind of conspiracy theorist myself but you’re making me look bad ๐Ÿ™‚

I doubt the draws were done behind closed doors. I thought they were public. But they had this chance to put Nadal at 4, which they could per Wimbledon rules. But they decided not to and that’s where my problem is. Neither of the established big four have to play against the other three to win the Championship. Technically, Djokovic needs to beat only one of the three. He must be rolling around in joy in his pod. Meanwhile, Nadal’s out looking for some advanced dope because he knows he’s got his hands full ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Hi Sid… Its a part- time hobby of mine!! Theres a alot of doggy s##t going on. And believe me for saying for a long time the Free masons used to denie they even existed, but then openly came out in the year 2000. One of their sayings are” if you are going to do something hidden, to it in plain sight” Thats me done other wise i can go on and on about this subject.
Ps sorry for making u look bad!! Lol

      2. You know, I don’t think Novak is too happy about it. Yes, he is happy, but all it took was one underestimated player Stan the Man to almost cause THE upset.
Novak will be happy, but he will not make the mistake of thinking well I can relax till my final.
But…. for one second, I think he thought Serena was the best girl in the world.

By the way look how nice Roger is. He put Vika and Maria together so Serena has only Radwanska.
You are way too nice Roger….

      3. What is up with this draw?! Holy mother of dragons! To keep his title, Fed is supposed to defeat Nadal, Murray and Djokovic? Why not have him out-hit Wladimir Klitschko and outrun Usain Bolt while at it?!

  22. Well, I’m just hoping for the best. Although it would be sweet if somehow Federer manages to beat Rafa again in grass.

  23. Federer’s projected Wimbledon path: Hanescu, Dutra Silva/Stakhovsky, Fognini/Rosol, Almagro/Janowicz, Nadal/Wawrinka, Murray, Djokovic

3rd round Fed v Rosol could be interesting – although he is very lightweight, I’ve watched him plenty times since last year, I can tell you that match last year was a complete one-off!!!

It may sound over-exaggerated but that Rosol performance for me (and I’ve watched plenty tennis since 1980) was one of the all-time greatest performances ever, I’m not sure many players in their prime from any era would have lived with Rosol that day. It was like he was drugged, bursting with bags of energy, it was just unplayable, he should have been tested! I find myself having to watch repeats of it from time to time and still get goose bumps watching some of those blistering winners and unreturnable aces. he’s a likable guy too, (other than needless spitting but I guess the buzz was making him foam at the mouth), I was so delighted for him that day. I’ve never heard such gasping commentary either, John Lloyd and co were just stunned! Nadal can blame knees or whatever he wants, but he knows he played incredible tennis that day too by his own standards to win 2 sets, whereas someone who didn’t watch that match but heard the result would probably think Nadal simply had a bad day or was carrying an injury.

    1. Hi Andyb, If there is nothing on tv and I have nothing to do, I love to watch Roger/Andy SF WTF, Roger’s SF and Final of Wimby of course and….. the Rafa/Rosol match !!! From the fourth set I get goosebumps. Even if I know the outcome, I still get excited for Rosol during that fifth set.
And I have always said, maybe Roger/Andy/Novak could win from Rosol the first four sets, but the fifth set, not even those four COMBINED could defeat Rosol !!! He was kind of possessed and the crowd were cheering him on.
The clappings of the crowd, to be honest, near the end I felt sorry for Rafa that the crowd was not on his side.

Hope Rosol does not play like that against Roger if they meet…..

      1. Hi Katyani, Rosol played on another planet in the 5th, but he was pretty decent in the other sets too, the first set he lost by the narrowist of margins in the tiebreak, you felt he was very unlucky to lose the first set, and that was his chance gone. To have the belief to power back into the game knowing you need 3 sets from 4 remaining against Rafa is truely unbelievable. His only not-so-great set was the 4th, after going down a break, he was almost content to let that one fizzle out just to get on with the 5th. The guy’s recent form was rotten. In the same year (2012) at AO in the very first round, he went down 6-0 6-0 4-0 to Petzschner before finally registering his first game on the board, then a mere 5 months on, produces this performance v Rafa!!! It’s probably the most extraordinary thing I’ve seen in tennis, Peter Doohan beating 2 time defending hot-favourite Becker in 1987 I thought would never be topped, but this was even more incredible!!!

  24. Wimbledon draw.
    Roger Federer:
    1R – Victor Hanescu
    2R – Sergiy Stakhovsky
    3R – Fabio Fognini/LUKAS ROSOLLLLLLLL
    4R – Jerzy Janowicz/Radek Stepanek/Nicolas Almagro
    QF – Rafael Nadal
    SF – Andy Murray
    F – Novak Djokovic

    well…shit!
But on the plus side, if only Roger can pull this off!

  25. You know, when the French Open draw came out, it seemed like Rog would waltz into the final. But draws opened up and he had the toughest of the 4 quarter finals. After the French Open I kind of stopped worrying about it. At the end of the day, he would have HAD to beat Nadal in the finals on clay- which let’s be honest, would never have happened. So Tsonga might just have done every one a favour.

I had a feeling the draw at Wimbledon would be a nightmare. And this definitely is Roger’s nightmare. But, here’s what I feel- It’s been 10 years since his first trophy. And I have a feeling that he’s going to have a good tournament, regardless of whether the draw opens up or not.

    Only time will tell.

    1. I really hope so Gaurav. It would be one of Rogers greatest momemts if he could beat the top 3 in the same tournament. But its sure going to be a huge difficult task !!!

  26. It annoys me how arrogantly Greg Rusedski quotes his predictions on Twitter. He just comes out with “Nadal v Federer in quarters. Nadal to win” like as if there’s no question about it. I just reminded him in a reply how last year he said exactly the same thing before the semi “Djokovic in 4”.

At least if he began with, “If I had to predict I would say”, you could accept it as the guy’s prediction, but the way it’s put to the reader is almost like “listen to the great Rusedski, there’s no question this is what will happen”.

Another fella replied with “lets not play the tournament since u have it all figured out” which is the PERFECT reply. Well said that man.

Geez I am starting to be glad it’s Rafa v Fed now (barring shocks), I want Fed to win this match more than any sporting event in history (to shut people up) and think I will uncork champagne if he wins!!!

    1. Hi Andyb, I read your reply to me, thanks, but I wanted to respond to this one.
This Greg guy has a habit of saying things (kind of stupid) and then paying for it.
After Dimitrov beat Novak at the QF?SF? of I think Madrid, you remember how Novak got booed by the crowd.
Greg said he was surprised by the behaviour of the crowd and (he said it harsher, but oke) and that they should not treat the current number one like this.
Some tweets came in saying he was right, others saying not. One woman (yes, of course) put him right in his place. She tweetet to him: respect should not be given it should be earned. Novak did not earn the crowds respect today by taking long and some injurytime, by overacting, by beeing mad at the crowd.
You should have seen his face. He deserved that tweet. Was quiet after that.
And you saw later what the woman meant with that tweet. The crowd was for Dimitrov because how he played and because how Novak acted. However when Roger was losing or close to losing to Nishikori, the crowd was for Roger, they were not shouting for Kei, they were actually really quiet. That is what she meant with if you give respect you get respect back. Roger was losing, but still acting like a gentleman. No injurytime (even with his backproblem), no playing games.

I sometimes like what Greg says, but he has his opinion ready too soon. Was he a good player himself??
      I never heard of him.

      1. Greg Rudeski got to US open final but lost to Andy Roddick. He did at one time have the fastest serve at 155mph, which Roddick matched later on. As a player he was ok, his serve was his main weapon but as a commentator he is absolutely crap, on par with John Lloyd, Andrew Castle who are both a bag of clown shoes!! Only Jim Courier i think is really good and is also an expert at explaining about racquets and strings.

    2. Rusedski is a clown. Mentally weak and could lose his head instantly. Although he lost to Rafter at USO not Roddick man. 1997, before Roddicks time.

Only thing he is famous for is swearing at the umpire at Wimbledon and then saying Sampras was a step slow at the USO in 2002, of course he went onto win it.

Who had a better career – Rusedski or Henman? Not an easy one.

      1. Funny you should say “mentally weak” for Rusedski because he was exactly that as a player. If everything is going his way, he looked decent, but if his opponent is getting better of him, he would always get frustrated and throw the match away. he was the last guy who would come from behind to win a big match. He would often call for the trainer when behind as if to hint it is the injury which is the reason he is struggling. His high water mark was winning the Paris Indoor Open title v Sampras in 98, again he took control of this match from the off, beating the robot in straight sets, had Sampras one the first set, the rattle would have come out the pram again no doubt. Winning Grand Slam Cup in 1998 was a highlight, can you believe a certain Tommy Haas was playing in that final, and we just saw him play Federer last week! And of course he made the US Open final in 1997 as already discussed. there’s not much between them (atp titles 15-11 to Greg) but if I had to pick the better career out of Rusedski or Henman – I would go for Henman as he has a much better record in the slams, and was more consistently higher ranked of the 2 over their careers peaking at #4. I think 10-2 was the final head to head in Henman’s favour as well.

Anyone recall how Rusedski used to demand the towel from the ballboy/girls after every single point (always pointing as his “gimme the towel” gesture), as if you really need the towel that much!!

      2. Thanks for the correction, i realised afterwards that i put in A Rods name instead of P Rafter. But i did update in my next post which is further down. Cool and cheers !! I think i need to slow down as i am making alot of Misstaakes today. Lol

      3. @AndyB Yeah I pick Henman too, it’s quite close, both had same career high ranking, Rusedki 4 more titles but Henman played better matches and faced tougher opponents in slams I think. Way more consistent.

  27. First, hope some player will do to Novak what Stan the Man did to him at AO (making sure he knew with an easy draw, he TOO had to work for it).

Second, who says Rafa will not tank any matches? He knows he can beat Roger, but Andy AND novak too??

Hate so say it, but this draw is tough for Roger AND Rafa only, not the rest. Not Andy, not Novak.

Rafa and Novak have had the time after RG to practise for Wimby, while Roger and Andy played their way through a tour to win and be ready for Wimby.
Which one is better? Practising or winning before Wimby?

    1. For katyani…. Sorry it was Patrick Rafter who beat him at the US open not A Roddick. My bad!!! ๐Ÿ™

  28. The draw is definitely tough, but I don’t care anymore. If Roger plays at god mode, then he can beat anyone including Nadal easily on his beloved grass. At least the opponents before the quarters are not that dangerous, which is a good sign. Some say Rosol will create some problems for Roger, but I don’t see it at any means. Given that Roger is fresh after winning in Halle, he should be able to breeze through the first four rounds.
The potential Dull matchup at quarterfinals must be the key to winning the title. I am sure that if he can defeat Dull, he will gain tons of confidence to beat Murray and Djokovic and win Wimby for a record 8th time.
Let’s give our utmost support to Roger!!

  29. You know, my first thought was, what’s with this draw? This is the worst of all possible worlds! But then I thought, you know, he got a gift-wrapped draw at Roland Garros, and wasn’t able to do anything with it. Maybe a difficult draw is what he needs to inspire his best. Because it will certainly take his best to pull this off. And really – isn’t that what we want, to see him play his very best?

      1. I think it’s safe to predict that if he should get to that point, we will have seen some of that very best.
If he gets there, maybe we’ll have the luxury of worrying about #5 in #6, not to mention #5 in #7…. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  30. Omg. The draw really su**s. I think Federer has hardly any chance to win the title. He cannot play 3 perfect matches to get through Nadal/Murray and Djokovic.

Nadal has only clowns in the first 4 rounds. No big hitters anywhere near him. In the second week the grass will be slower than the clay in Paris and he has very good chances to win Wimbledon. I hope Murray stops him. I don’t like Djokovic on grass. He doesn’t have the best hands among the top 4 players.

I think either Murray/Nadal/Federer will win the title.
