Roger Federer’s Outfit for the London 2012 Olympics
Seen as though there's no Roger match today I thought I'd post Roger's outfit for the upcoming London 20l2 Olympics.
Before seeing it I wasn't sure if Wimbledon would expect competing individuals to respect their traditions and play in all white, but as you can below it's clear players will be wearing their national colours and of course Roger will be wearing Red to represent his native Switzerland.
Because it's the Olympics it's pretty much the design I expected i.e. Red. On first glance I'm not sure I like the zipped collar as I think buttons would look far better. Also the Swiss flag looks a little bit plonked on and as if it would peel off after a few washes.
If it is for the Olympics, surly there should be no ‘RF’ logo as he should be wearing the same outfit as any other Swiss player would be wearing?
Yeah Stanford Wallringer wears Yonex I think so his shirt will be made by them for it…
Him and Fed both wore different in Beijing.
His RF logo is there as is Nike because that’s his brand Wawrinka won’t wear the same as he isn’t with Nike..
I agree about the Swiss flag. It appears to be almost an afterthought. I don’t mind the zipper so much but the black border around it is too striking and odd. It’ll probably look better when it’s worn and not zipped to the top. Anyway, the best thing about this is Roger looks HOT in RED!
Yeah! Looks abit tacky. Like you say, maybe look better on…
I agree with Wendy up there, Roger looks hot in red! I love Roger and I love red, so… 🙂 Anyway, yeah, the Swiss flag looks like a last-minute addition to the shirt. The zipped collar looks okay to me.
Hey Mara,
Cheers for commenting, I just checked out your blog, enjoyed the Fed Wimbledon post 🙂
