Roger Federer Tribute Videos Compilation 2015

Is it just me or does it feel like a lifetime since those great 13.5 days at Wimbledon? 🙂 With no Fed until at least the Roger's Cup in the 2nd week of August it's a bit of a quiet period on the tennis front but that does have one benefit; the YouTube Federer video makers finally get some work done and at this mid point in the season there's already been a number of releases. With that in mind I thought I'd put together a quick compilation of the ones I've seen in the last couple of weeks…

Roger Federer • Super Points 2015™ • Infedible ᴴᴰ

I don't think I've come across this channel before but it's full of Federer / Tennis content and this video is the latest addition. It's a classic points compilation from 2015 and is very well put together:

Roger Federer – “It Always Seems Impossible Until it's Done” á´´á´°

This channel has a track record of producing really good Federer tributes and this is one of my favourites. Someone associated with the channel (maybe the owner I'm not sure) usually messages when a new video is released on the channel to share and I put this is on Facebook last week so some of you may have seen it.

The title of the video is inspired by a quote from Nelson Mandela and has been put together to show Fed's greatness both on court and off court.

I'm still here to do well, to win tournaments, I'm happy how my body is feeling, It's about just playing for the right reasons, which is No. 1 because I love it and No. 2 because I want to be successful, I don't live in the past, but the past is good and no one can take that away from me. Look, I've had a wonderful career, whatever comes now is just great, I need to play well feel like I can beat the best win the biggest tournaments as long as I feel that way I'm going to keep playing. I play for myself, my team, my fans and my country rather than against the people who think and have come out and said [negative] things about me. They don't drive me in any way whatsoever. Back in the day maybe I would not be as ruthless as now but now it's just trying to focus on what I need to do and then the score is what it is. I don't really think it matters at the end of the day. For me it's about playing the tournament and the ball that's coming from my opponent so I can't mentally go there.

Roger Federer's Top 20 Points of 2007

There's few better sights in tennis than prime Fed dominating with his forehand and 2007 was one of his best ever years so compiling his best ever points from the season is always going to be a recipe for success. Subscribe to the channel and you'll be able to watch the best points from 04, 05 and 06 right now as well and 2008's compilation is coming soon.

This one is made by some guy called Conal. Think he's a Federer fan but not sure?

Roger Federer – The Legend continues (HD)

A first time Federer video from this channel and very well put together.

Roger Federer ♦ Wimbledon 2015 Tribute (HD)

Extended Wimbledon tribute and the best thing about it is the French commentary for the Federer Murray match. Ohhhh Il est partout! Il est partout!

Roger Federer – Always a Legend (HD)

Another channel that I hadn't come across before and another well put together points compilation from this year along with some Davis Cup stuff.

|Roger Federer| – Triumph and Disaster Wimbledon 2015

Not the most upbeat of videos as it was made just after Federer's Wimbledon final loss but extremely well edited / compiled by Isaac TennisRF.

Roger Federer – Top 10 Turning Defense Into Offense Points

This one comes from the compilation man Raz Ols and focuses on Roger's ability to turn defence into attack along with his transition game. Has there ever been anyone better at that aspect of the game?

Enjoy! Let me know your favourite in the comments and if you have any recommendations for videos to add please do post them.

Jonathan

Huge fan of Roger Federer - I'll pretty much try and watch all his matches from Grand Slam level right down to ATP 250. When I'm not watching or tweeting about tennis I play regularly myself and use this blog to share my thoughts on Fed and tennis in general.

  1. I forgot to mention in the post but I’ve moved my blog over to the .com address and also put it on an SSL. It’s more an experiment than anything else but if you want to update your bookmarks if you use them then you can do. It won’t effect email delivery if you subscribe or anything and even if you type in the .co.uk address you’ll still end up here as it redirects.

    1. For some reason, my browser wouldn’t redirect to any new page yesterday. For a second I was horrified at what had happened to the blog!

  2. The French one focusing on Murray/Fed is my absolute fav! C’est pas possible!!!! Just fabulous! Felt sad watching the final again but he did fade after 2 sets…. Still not sure why. 1/7 BP opps won’t do it! Still hit some unreal shots during th 2 weeks, privilege to watch! What Wld we do without these complications! Thanks to all the contributors!

  3. THANK YOU Jonathan for rescue! Don’t know yet which video to prefer, but all material to many happy returns! And in spite of the late disappointment vs Djoko, I feel optimistic after watching this more and more improving magic with this his racket – only practiced for 2 years!

  4. Oh lĂ  lĂ , lĂ  lĂ  lĂ  lĂ ! :)) Great post, thanks, Jonathan.
Chapeau! to the creators, especially some guy called Conal. Agreed with Susie, the French commentators are hilarious and rightly being so excited as we all were that day – un vrai jeu sur le gazon.

  5. I am wasting away from Federer withdrawal symptoms so it’s great to have these to view. Thanks for feeding our addictions Johnathan. (in a good way)

  6. I’ll second Donna’s comment – thanks Jonathan for helping us through the Federer drought. When I watch these compilations, I get goosebumps all over again – it’s why we love him and his tennis. No one comes close. 🙂

  7. A perfect decision, if there was one
Though for us, its not gonna be fun
The great man does need ample rest
So that he can be fit to beat the best

Back-to-back Montreal and Cincy not worth it if he has to be ready for USO.
