Yarra Valley Classic, Melbourne Prize Money 2021
The WTA calendar for the start of 2021 has seen significant changes due to the global pandemic.
With the Australian government enforcing draconian quarantine policies, this has meant the traditional lead-up tournaments ahead of the Australian Open are logistically impossible.
With healthy players having to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine, Tennis Australia has put on two WTA 500 tournaments that run simultaneously in Melbourne from January 31st.
The events give players at least some preparation and match practice before the first Grand Slam kicks off on its revised date in February.
The Yarra Valley Classic is one of the events, and the total prize money pool is $565,530, mirroring the Gippsland Trophy that runs alongside it.
You can see a full breakdown for both the singles and doubles prize money at the Yarra Valley Classic in the tables below.
The US dollar amounts have also been converted into GBP and Euros to give a comparison for European readers. The exchange rate shown is the mid-market exchange rate.
