WTA Shenzhen Open Prize Money 2020

The WTA Shenzhen Open takes places in the opening week of the season at the Shenzhen Longgang Tennis Center, which has 32 outdoor and indoor courts and a 4,000-seater stadium.

The tournament is used by players preparing for the Australian Open but as well as ideal preparation for Melbourne, there's a nice prize money pool on offer too.

For 2020 the total prize money on offer is $651,750 which is a 4% rise compared to 2019. The winner in Shenzhen this year will walk away with both a WTA International title and $175,200 which is a 7.3% rise year on year. 

Interestingly the middle rounds suffer this year, with quarter-finalists receiving $11,271 which is 14.1% less than last year. That money appears to have been shifted towards qualifying with 1st round qualifying losers receiving an 84.5% bump in prize money and final round qualifying losers a 56.3% rise.
