The Plava Laguna Croatia Open in Umag is the oldest tournament in Croatia and first took place in 1990.
Held at the ITC Stella Maris venue, where the centre court is named after Goran Ivanisevic, the ATP 250 draws in locals and tourists from further afield looking to soak up some sun and see what else the Istrian Peninsula has to offer.
With 250 ranking points available, there's also some nice prize money to boot, and for 2021, the total prize money on offer at the Croatia Open is €419,470, which is down 20% compared to 2019.
The champion in Umag will bag themselves €41,145 in cash, which, while more than health for seven days of work, is down -54.5% compared to the amount Dusan Lajovic received when he won the title in 2019.
The runner up sees a similar drop of -39.6% vs two years ago and will receive a cheque for €29,500.
