BOSS Open, Stuttgart Prize Money 2022

The prize money below is for the ATP 250 in Stuttgart played on grass. You can see the Porsche Grand Prix WTA 500 prize money also held in Stuttgart here.

The BOSS Open (formerly known as the Mercedes Cup), part of the ATP 250 circuit, takes place at the Tennis Club Weissenhof and traditionally runs during the same week as the Libema Open in Holland.

The tournament made the switch from clay to grass in 2015 and saw Roger Federer win the tournament in 2018 at his third bite of the cherry.

Mercedes-Benz held the role of title sponsor from 1979 to 2021, with the champion taking home a new car and a cheque of prize money. However, Hugo Boss are the new sponsor, giving the tournament a brand new look.

For 2022, the total prize pool for the Mercedes Cup is €692,235, which is up 27.43% compared to 2021's offering.

The winner in Stuttgart will take a cheque for €105,290which is 97.62% more than the amount Marin Cilic received when he won the title in 2021.

The runner up will bag themselves €61,420, which is an increase of 60.79% compared to last year.

The pay increases continue throughout the draw, with losers in qualifying and early-round losers also receiving a boost in earnings.

For example, first-round losers in the main draw will receive €7,425, up 8.32%. Hardly EU zone inflation-beating, but better than nothing.

You can see a full breakdown of the 2022 Stuttgart prize money in the table below. A percentage change is also provided to compare with last season.
