The Open 13 Provence, held at the Palais des Sports de Marseille, is one of five French tournaments on the ATP World Tour calendar.
This particular event is on the ATP 250 circuit and the was first held in 1993. Since then remuneration on offer in Marseille has risen dramatically and for 2020 the total prize money pool is €691,880 which is a 3.5% increase compared to 2019.
The 2020 Marseille champion will take home €116,030 in prize money, a small 0.7% rise on last year. The runner up receives €64,225 which is up 3.1% compared to 2019.
Those single figure gains are reflected across the entire event, with losers in the first round of qualifying gaining the most in percentage terms with an 8% rise which equates to €1,755 in prize money. Not too shabby for just turning up!
