The Upper Austria Ladies Linz takes place on the indoor hardcourts of the TipsArena Linz. First held in 1987 in Wels, Austria it moved to Linz in 1991. Since the 2009 edition, it is one of the stops on the WTA International Circuit.
Usually held in October, this year the tournament has been moved to February and the total prize money on offer at the 2023 Upper Austria Ladies Linz is β¬225,480 ($259,303) which is up 18.86% from 2021. The tournament was not held in 2022.
The champion in Linz will take home a cheque for β¬29,760, which is 26.38% up vs 2021. The runner-up also sees a similar 33.02% pay rise with β¬17,590 in prize money.
There however some decreases, first-round losers take a -11.605% pay cut compared with two years ago, each receiving β¬2,438. Similarly, the qualifying draw first-round losers also receive a -15.04% deccrease, with β¬1,164 of prize money.
