The Generali Open takes place on the picturesque clay courts in Kitzbühel, nestled in the Tyrol region of the Austrian Alps.
In 2019 the tournament enjoyed some homegrown success when Dominic Thiem became the first Austrian to win the title since Thomas Muster in 1993.
Unfortunately, with Thiem out with a wrist injury, he isn't in with a chance of recapturing the title or playing for a share of the €419,470 total prize money on offer for the 2021 Generali Open.
When the event was rescheduled last year, the prize money took a big hit due to the pandemic. However, 2021 sees a small bounce back, and it's up 22.11% vs 2020. This is still down 20% down vs 2019, which is in line with the ATP's policy this season.
The winner at the Generali Open will take home €41,145, which is up 65.4% compared to the amount Miomir Kecmanovic received for winning the title last year.
The runner up sees a payout of €29,500, a boost of 49.0% compared to last September.
You can see a full breakdown of the 2021 Kitzbuhel prize money in the table below. A percentage change is also provided to compare with last season, and the Euros have been converted into £ and $ to compare British and American readers.
