The Swiss Open has perhaps the most spectacular backdrop of any ATP Tour tournament, thanks to the Swiss Alps in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland.
The event is famous for being Roger Federer's first tournament as a professional and presenting him with a cow after winning Wimbledon in 2003.
For 2021 the total prize money at the Swiss Open is €419,470, which is down -20.0% compared to 2019. The pandemic cancelled the event in 2020.
The champion in Gstaad will receive a cheque for €41,145, which is down -54.5% compared to what Albert
Ramos-Vinolas received when he won the title in 2019.
The majority of the main draw also see losses compared to two years ago, but early-round losers and losers in qualifying see a small rise vs 2019. For example, first-round losers will receive €5,415, a small 2.5% increase compared to 2019.
