Gippsland Trophy, Melbourne Prize Money 2021
Due to the global pandemic, the calendar for the start of the 2021 WTA season has been significantly revamped.
With players heading to Australia for the first Grand Slam of the year, the countries draconian quarantine policies have meant players are arriving well ahead of time.
Subsequently, Tennis Australia has laid on a number of events to give players match practice and training opportunities ahead of the Australian Open.
Firstly, two WTA 500 events will kick off on January 31st, the Gippsland Trophy, and the Yarra Valley Classic.
The total prize money at the Gippsland Trophy is $565,530. With the winner taking home a cheque for $68,570.
