First held in 2020, the Chile Open takes place in Santiago at the Center Court of Club Deportivo Universidad Catolica located in San Carlos de Apoquindo.
The tournament has taken over from the Brasil Open previously held in Costa do Sauípe (2001 – 2011) and Sao Paulo (2012 – 2019). It is the first time Chile has held an ATP Tour tournament since 2014 in Vina Del Mar.
For 2022 the total prize money on offer at the Chile Open is $475,960 which is a -4.87% decrease from last year.
The winner in Santiago will take home a cheque for $51,045 a 13.4% increase vs 2021. The runner-up bags $35,735 which is up 9.6% compared to 12 months ago.
