Merry Christmas to all Federer Fans

Just a quick post to wish all Federer fans and readers of this blog a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It's been a great year for tennis and especially for Roger himself managing to win a slam and regain the world number 1 spot when many of his critics thought it was impossible so hopefully 2013 can bring something similar.

Switzerland certainly looks like a nice place to celebrate Christmas assuming that's where Roger is this time of year, the question is what do they have for Christmas dinner over there? Turkey is the meat of choice in the UK but I reckon it might be a little different in Basel. Answers on a postcard.

Huge fan of Roger Federer. I watch all his matches from Grand Slam level right down to ATP 250. When I'm not watching or writing about tennis I play regularly myself and have a keen interest in tactics, equipment and technicalties of the sport.

I think Roger will benefit greatly from this season being shorter and maybe able to play at a higher level for more sustained periods of time. I also think with more practice time that he will be able to work on the weaker areas of his game and to his fitness. Here’s to great 2013.
